If you’re coming into downtown via U.S. 131 southbound expressway, exit at Market St. Then take Market north (left) to Fulton St., and turn east (right). We are located on the corner of Fulton Street and Commerce Ave., or at the second traffic light after you turn onto Fulton.
From U.S. 131 northbound exit at the Oakes Street, Downtown business exit. Turn right at Oakes, then turn left (north) on Commerce. San Chez & San Chez Café are at the corner of Commerce and Fulton.
From 196 East or West exit at Ottawa St, exit 77C. Head South on Ottawa through downtown to Fulton St. (Ottawa is a one way street heading South only). Turn Left on Futon, heading East to Commerce. Our restaurant is at the Southwest corner to the right. Look for the maroon awning, across from the Police Station.
If you’re coming into downtown via surface streets, take Fulton Street into town from either the west or east. If coming from the north or south, take Division to Fulton and turn west - - Commerce is the first street west of Division Ave.
Daytime parking is best across the street from us at the Monroe Center ramp on the corner of Louis and Ionia. Enter the Ramp via Ionia Street. They offer one hour of free parking during the day.
Evening parking is usually available behind our building, plus there are plenty of metered parking spots around the nearby blocks, plus at the Monroe Center ramp across the street.
